The Candlestick banksia is a water-wise shrub to a tree bearing a profusion of showy, yellow, candle-like flowers from spring to autumn. The flowers are bird-attracting and grown commercially for the cut flower trade.

This banksia can tolerate extended dry periods and frost when established.
