Melaleuca lateritia

Robin Redbreast Bush (Melaleuca lateritia) is a medium shrub with slender, sometimes arching branches. From spring to autumn, this plant produces striking orange to red bottlebrush flowers.

Plant towards the back of mixed garden beds, for screening or as a hedge. The flowers attract nectar-feeding birds.

Tolerant of frost, smog, heavy, damp and saline soils.

This shrub tolerates a wide range of soil conditions including waterlogging and dryness. Plant in full sun to part shade. Responds to light and heavy pruning.
