Tradescantia spathacea

Rhoeo discolour Compactum, commonly known as Moses in the Cradle, is an evergreen, semi-succulent, clump forming perennial. Grown for its attractive dark leaves with purple undersides. Rhoeo makes an ideal groundcover, rockery plant or used for edging as well as an excellent landscaping plant or just in a container or trough on its own. Requires minimal attention. Prefers a well-drained, moderately fertile soil in full sun to part shade. Grows 30-40cm wide and reaches a height of 40cm.
